Melinda has more than two decades of journalism and content writing experience. She started her career as a correspondent in Africa for five years for The Associated Press news agency and other American and British publications, including The Telegraph and The Economist.
In Australia, she wrote for The Sydney Morning Herald for more than 10 years including working on the foreign desk as a sub-editor and commissioning section editor for Special Reports, particularly on education. Her work has appeared in the Medical Observer, InTheBlack, Create and HRM magazines. She’s also worked in India and Singapore.
Melinda is skilled at interviewing people from all walks of life to create engaging stories and regularly writes on complex issues for a general audience. She edited Explore, the Australian Museum’s twice yearly magazine, for three editions and UNSW’s alumni magazine UNSWorld for four years. She has completed various content marketing projects for leading Australian universities.
Born in Canada, she has a BA in History from McGill University, MA in International Relations and postgraduate Diploma in International Journalism from the University of London.

Mike’s last corporate editorial role was as bureau chief in Singapore for Bloomberg News where he directed South and Southeast Asia news coverage with a team of 60 journalists. He helped expand Bloomberg’s operations in India and ran the news agency’s coverage of Australia’s economy, bond and currency markets.
Mike has 20 years experience as a journalist, editor and news manager. He’s reported for the BBC World Service radio, Reuters, AFP, The Guardian and the Financial Times from southern Africa, and co-founded, designed and edited The Post newspaper in Zambia.
In Sydney, Mike worked as a reporter and sub-editor at AAP. He also founded and ran a wholesale business supplying retailers across Australia, and taught an introduction to law to accounting students at Macquarie University. He has a BSc in Environmental Studies from the University of Hertfordshire, MA in International Journalism from the University of London and Diploma in Financial Markets from the Securities Institute of Australia (now FINSIA).

On photography and video projects, we work with Sam Collins, a six-times award-winning cinematographer with 25 years’ experience in film and TV. Sam has worked on documentaries, commercials, promos, TV series and drama. A 15-year association with National Geographic has taken him all over the world. He’s a fully-licensed CASA-certified drone pilot and an accomplished stills photographer.
Anne is a versatile graphic designer and artist. She’s worked on a diverse range of communications projects over 20 years, including designing infographics, developing corporate websites, brochures and annual reports in Australia and internationally, as well as complex illustrations and photo-retouching. She recently completed a hand-painted animation that was projected on St. Mary’s Cathedral in Sydney at Christmas.
